
Chester Bay Wins National Battle Of The Bands Competition sponsored by Land Shark Lager.
After hundreds of bands and thousands of votes casted, it was Chester Bay that received the grand prize package valued at over $100,000. Here’s how it worked! Bands were asked to submit an Electronic Press Kit (EPK) which was to feature a band photo, bio and their favorite original tune. They were then asked to generate as many votes as possible on the Land Shark BOTB hub. At the end of a specified period, 60 bands with the most votes would move on. From there, a panel of music executives and representative from Land Shark lager chose their 12 favorite bands. Finally, a live video was created for each of the remaining artists and placed on Land Lager BOTB hub were fans would vote for the winner. Ultimately, it was Chester Bay who finished on top. As a result, The band received a full-page Land Shark advertorial in Rolling Stone magazine, a digital distribution deal with reapandsow and 2 million banner ads to promote their new release on RollingStone.com.
